Top Talent Joins Woods Team

As part of its effort to recruit top talent, Woods is proud to welcome Jonathan M. Jenkins and William Gabriel Rioux to its team. Both will have the opportunity to develop their skills in civil and commercial disputes and engage as part of our team in high-stakes cases.

Jonathan M. Jenkins began his legal career as a research lawyer at the Quebec Court of Appeal serving as a law clerk at the Court of Appeal of Quebec under Judge Yves-Marie Morissette. Prior to being admitted to the Quebec Bar, Jonathan worked for the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the Sport Dispute Resolution Center of Canada (SDRCC), applying his Master’s degree in sports law from the Université de Neuchâtel. Academically, he has a transnational profile. In addition to his Master’s degree completed in Switzerland, he earned a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Edinburgh, a Bachelor of Economics and Political Science from the University of Ottawa, and a Certificate of Law from the Université de Montréal.

 

In addition to earning both a Bachelor of Laws degree and a Master of Business Law degree from Université de Montréal, William Gabriel Rioux was a fellow at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Law, where his research focus was class actions with an emphasis on securities law. During his academic studies, William had the opportunity to be a research assistant to professors at the University of Melbourne, the University of Toronto and the Université de Montréal. Besides his law studies, he holds a Bachelor of Education degree from McGill University, which brought him several teaching experiences. He has also completed studies in music performance and participated in major competitions and concerts.
