Woods contributes Canadian chapter to Global Arbitration Review’s international arbitration reference guide


For the third consecutive year, Woods has contributed the chapter on Arbitration in Canada to Global Arbitration Review’s GAR Know-How: Commercial Arbitration, a global reference guide for arbitration practitioners parties providing answers to commonly asked questions on arbitration law and practice in over 35 jurisdictions.

Laurence Ste-Marie, Dina Prokic and Stephen L. Drymer, lawyers and international arbitration team members at Woods, give an overview of arbitration in Canada, from the drafting of arbitration agreements to the recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards, and answer specific questions on key legal and practical issues such as arbitrability, confidentiality, consolidation of proceedings, interim relief including anti-suit and anti-arbitration injunctions, admissibility of evidence, and third-party funding.
