Woods is proud to have received a number of nominations in its signature practices for the 2022 Benchmark Canada awards, which will be presented at the Gala in Toronto on May 5. Having been recognized as the Quebec Firm of the Year in the past three consecutive years, our firm is once again in the running for this honour. Our arbitration practice's standing in Canada has once again contributed to the nomination for the Arbitration Firm of the Year recognition.
Additionally, three partners are up for individual awards.
- Patrick Ouellet is nominated in two categories: Quebec Litigator of the Year and Trial Lawyer of the Year in Canada. A two times winner of the Quebec Litigator of the Year Award, he was in 2021 the first lawyer in Quebec to win the prestigious Trial Lawyer of the Year award, recognizing his rich trial experience.
- A previous winner of the Arbitration Lawyer of the Year (2018 & 2017), Stephen L. Drymer is again nominated for this recognition.
- Bogdan-Alexandru Dobrota has been nominated for the Emerging Talent Litigators of the Year Award for the first time.
